As the first phase of construction at NEMA Chicago nears completion, ENR featured the tower as part of its Top Starts rankings, highlighting the building’s superlative height. Developed by Crescent Heights and designed by architect Rafael Viñoly and interior designer David Rockwell, NEMA Chicago will contain 800 Downtown Chicago rentals when complete, providing residents with Windy City-inspired interiors from which they will enjoy spectacular Downtown and Lake Michigan views on their perch at the southern edge of Grant Park. Moreover, the 76-story tower will be the city’s tallest all-rental building when complete, showing that the home of American architecture still dreams big and builds bigger.
